Tower

A digital Tower of Hanoi prototype. Five puzzles of increasing size measure planning, working memory, and inhibition. Pointer movement is sampled during each drag alongside first-move latency, excess moves past the shortest path, and rule violations.

Move the discs to the right peg

Apparatus
Standby

Each puzzle starts with a stack of discs on the left peg. Your goal is to rebuild the same stack on the right peg.

Two rules. Move one disc at a time, always the top disc of a peg. Never place a larger disc on a smaller one.

Drag discs with your mouse or finger. Illegal drops flash red and return. Try to use the fewest moves you can. While you work, the strip under the board traces your pointer, that trace is part of the measurement.

Disc counts: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
