EPPP Prep Free Trial: Which Programs Let You Try First

Short answer: three of the six big EPPP prep programs have a real free trial, and the other three give you a free sample instead. An EPPP prep free trial means you log in and use the actual program. A sample means you see a slice of it. PrepJet, Taylor Study Method, and thePsychology.ai offer trials. AATBS, Academic Review, and PsychPrep offer samples. None of the six ask for a credit card on the pages I checked.

I checked every program's own site on September 20, 2026. I run thePsychology.ai, so weigh my row like you would weigh any seller's. Every other row links to the vendor page it came from.

Free trials and free samples, side by side

Prices are not in this table on purpose. They change more often than trial terms do, and every program's current price sits in the cheapest EPPP prep breakdown.

Trial vs. sample: why the difference matters

A sample tells you if the questions are well written. That is worth knowing, and 25 questions is enough to judge it.

A trial tells you something a sample can't: whether you will actually use the thing on a Tuesday night after work. You see the dashboard, the way it tracks weak areas, how long a session takes, and whether it works on your phone. Those are the things that decide if you are still studying in week six.

So use both. Samples are fast and cost nothing. Trials take a few days each, so pick one or two.

What each free offer really includes

PrepJet. The homepage says "No Credit Card Required, No Obligation" and lists a diagnostic exam with actionable results, quizzes with detailed rationales, and a free library of 100+ videos. The page does not say how many days the trial lasts, so check that at signup. More in our PrepJet review.

Taylor Study Method. The trial page says "Get 14-day access to a variety of tools" and calls it "limited access to our curriculum." You get study sessions, exam strategies, key terms, practice questions, and answer rationales. It is listed at $0.00. The page does not say whether a card is needed.

PsychPrep. No trial of the paid program, but the free sample package is the biggest sample of the group: a video recording of their 7-hour EPPP Strategies Seminar, the seminar handout, 15 sample questions, a sample of the study materials and course audio, and chapter outlines. Access lasts one month. The page says no credit card required. More in our PsychPrep review.

AATBS. A free 25-question sample exam with a rationale on each question. The page says "No credit card required" and "No signup hassle." It is a look at the question style, not at the full TestMASTER program.

Academic Review. A free "sampling of practice exam questions" with rationales, listed at $0.00 in their store. You add it to a cart like a product. The page does not say how many questions you get.

One thing worth knowing while you compare: AATBS, Taylor Study Method, and Academic Review are owned by the same company. Three storefronts, one owner.

thePsychology.ai. Seven days, full access to everything, no credit card. The pricing page says it this way: "There is no card on file. If you like it, you join... If not, you walk away." So the trial can't turn into a charge by accident. If you don't want to sign up for anything yet, there is also a free 100-question practice exam with scoring and explanations, no signup.

How to get the most out of a free trial

A trial is short. Treat it like a test of the program, not a week of browsing.

  1. Start it on a week you can study. A 7-day trial that starts the day before a conference tells you nothing.
  2. Take the diagnostic or a practice exam on day one. You want to see what the program does with your weak areas, and it can't do that until it has data on you.
  3. Study from your phone at least once. Most of your real study time will be in gaps. If the program is clumsy on a phone, you will feel it by week three.
  4. Read five answer explanations closely. This is where programs differ most. Does the explanation teach the concept, or does it only restate the right answer?
  5. Ask what happens when the trial ends. Does it bill you, lock you out, or keep your progress? If the page doesn't say, email and ask before you start.

FAQ

Which EPPP prep programs have a free trial?

As of September 20, 2026, PrepJet, Taylor Study Method, and thePsychology.ai each offer a free trial of the program itself. AATBS, Academic Review, and PsychPrep offer free samples (questions or seminar material) instead of a trial.

Do any EPPP prep free trials need a credit card?

PrepJet, PsychPrep, AATBS, and thePsychology.ai all say no credit card is required. Taylor Study Method and Academic Review list their free offers at $0.00 but do not say either way on the pages I checked.

Is a free trial enough to study for the EPPP?

No. A trial is for choosing a program, not for finishing your prep. Use it to find out if the program fits how you study, then decide.

What is the longest free EPPP prep offer?

PsychPrep's free sample package lasts one month, but it is sample material. Among true trials, Taylor Study Method lists 14 days of limited access and thePsychology.ai lists 7 days of full access. PrepJet does not state a length on its homepage.
