If you are reading this, you are probably weighing PrepJet for your EPPP prep and want to know how it stacks up against the other options. Smart move. This exam costs you time, money, and a lot of stress, so the tool you pick actually matters.

Full honesty up front: I am Dr. Anders Chan, and I built thePsychology.ai. I have a stake in your choice, so I am going to be fair. I will tell you where PrepJet is genuinely good and where my own product falls short. You can make the call yourself.

Where PrepJet is strong

To be fair, PrepJet does a few things well.

  • No large upfront cost. It is a subscription, so you are not paying thousands at once.
  • Sub-domain drill-down lets you target your weak topics.
  • A readiness score gives you a simple read on where you stand.
  • Content was updated for 2025, including telehealth material.

One note: PrepJet advertises a 97% pass rate, but that number is self-reported and not independently verified. Treat it like any marketing stat, with a grain of salt.

It is also worth knowing what users report on the downside. Some describe the questions as awkward and purposefully ambiguous, with practice scores in the 40s to 50s even after a month. The audio materials are described as monotone, and very few independent reviews exist.

Where thePsychology.ai is different

Here is where my approach splits from PrepJet.

  • Continuous adaptive loop. The platform recalibrates every session and resurfaces the concepts you missed with new angles, so you keep seeing them until you actually learn them. PrepJet's adaptivity is basically a readiness score.
  • Lowest monthly price in this comparison. At $30 (or $40 later) it is far below PrepJet's $159 to $429 range.
  • Free 7-day trial with no credit card. You can try the whole thing before you pay a cent.
  • Integrated wellness. Mindfulness and stress tools are built into the study flow. No one else in this category does this, and burnout is real when you are grinding for this exam.
  • Built by psychologists who took the exam. I scored 588, and our 80+ lessons are written by licensed psychologists, not anonymous content writers.

I will also be straight about the weak spots. thePsychology.ai is newer, so the track record is shorter and the user community is smaller than older names. There is no native iOS or Android app yet, just a mobile-responsive web interface. PrepJet does not have a native app either, but you should know what you are getting.

A quick note on price

If you start in June 2026, you lock in $30/month. The standard price goes to $40/month for new members who join in July. Existing members keep whatever rate they signed up at. So if the price matters to you, joining this month locks in the lower rate. No pressure, just the honest timing.

Who should pick what

Pick PrepJet if you specifically want its sub-domain drill-down workflow and you are comfortable with the higher monthly price and the limited number of independent reviews.

Pick thePsychology.ai if you want a continuously adaptive study loop, the lowest monthly price in the category, built-in wellness support, and lessons written by people who actually passed the EPPP. If a longer track record and a bigger community matter most to you, an older platform might feel safer, and that is a reasonable choice.

Try it yourself

The best way to judge any prep tool is to use it. You can start a free 7-day trial with no credit card, so there is zero risk in seeing whether the adaptive loop works for you. If it clicks, join in June to lock in $30/month before it rises to $40 in July. If it does not, you walk away having lost nothing but a little time.
